Many blessings in 2014!

Hi!  We hope you're all doing well and staying warm in this crazy weather!  It's been a couple of months since we've updated you on the status of Helping Hands, and we wanted to make sure you had the latest information on how the program is going and what you can do to help!  We are currently serving 30 children in the district each weekend.  This is the largest group that we've had since we started the program!  Because of your dedication, we're confident we will have enough to continue to serve this group, as well as whoever else comes our way and needs our assistance.

As you know, our goal is to send these kids home with three meals and two snacks for each day that they will be out of school.  We also continue to send home a jar of peanut butter and a plastic squeezable bottle of jelly once a month.  Some items we are currently in need of include:  peanut butter, jelly (plastic, squeezable bottles only), meal items such as soup (the packets are nice since they are light-weight), spaghetti-o's, individual mac and cheese packs, tuna (again-the packets are nice because of the weight), chili, and ravioli. Just take these items to Heather and Tina in the elementary school office during school hours.  Any food you donate will go directly to a child at Crystal City Schools who is in need.  Thank you so  much for your prayers and support of this program!  God bless you and your families!!
